Season 8, episode 1 June 6, 2016

Mom notes in blue:

So in answer to some questions. I have no idea who Jordan's companion is. He is good though. (Jordan is Elder Kendall, Alex’s good friend -also from our home ward, who just arrived in the mission on Tuesday. They were together at the mission home for a few minutes.)

Elder Stone is almost going home. He is finishing his last transfer. He is from Holiday, Utah. Elder VanLeeuwen is from West Jordan. He has been out for 20 months. Our address 16900 Se Vancouver Washington. (Once again, an incomplete address here....Grrrr!)
Monday-
I stopped by to say good bye to a few of the people that were in the Ward I was serving in.
Tuesday-
I packed and then I got everything ready for transfers.
Wednesday-
First day in the area. We have had a blast. We all get along good. We are still in a car. It’s really great. There is a former jazz player in my Ward, Andy Toolson. Did dad play ball with him? (Yes!  Dave and his brother Alan both played with Andy at BYU!)
Thursday-
We have had a full day of service.  Our area has a bunch of rich people in it. It is a lot different than Portland. It has a bunch of well off families so the work is really hard here. We have done a lot of service for people though.

Friday-
We planned and then went and had more service. In the hundred degrees weather. The people here say it doesn't get that hot but it has been so hot for a couple of days now... and it is brutal.
Saturday-
We worked hard didn't see much happen.
Sunday-
We had a good day at church meeting  the people which went ok. We meet with a part
member family. He has been meeting with missionaries for years. He just recently started reading the Book of Mormon. So slight progress. Over all we have had fun despite our really tough area.
