Good news! Our mission president is going to be back on the following Monday. He was cleared for duty and is coming back to the trenches. So we are excited about that. We have transfers coming up. So I am indifferent. I love it here but change is good.
Monday-
We had a good day. We played a bunch of sports. It is difficult to go somewhere else because there is a bunch of cool things to go see but some of them cost money. And, we live the farthest away from all the p day activities. Plus traffic is bad news. So we play some sports. We play this game called scatter ball, but I call it scatter brains...that is usually what happens.
Tuesday-
We had a good district meeting today. We talked about following up. Because if we don't follow up we will never know if they did the commitment that we left. It was good. Then we were on exchanges. I stayed because Elder Johansen felt he should go and help the work in the other area. So I stayed and we were heading out the door after lunch and we get a call for someone who needed some things moved. So we changed and went to help move. We were there to help move some of the big stuff. It was a struggle. The guy who we were helping move the stuff would always stop and take a break. As well as the other missionary. So they kept trading out. We are there to work not to stand and wait. So I wouldn't let them rest haha. That definitely took a good chunk of the day.
Wednesday-
We had an interview with our mission president. So that was cool get to know who he is. We had a good talk. Then later that day we were able to put a person on date for the 27th. More on that story later.
Thursday-
We had a few good lesson. But the story of the week is the canceling of the appointments. Most of them this week fell through. Not so good. It made for some really long days. Because we have a teaching day then it turns into a full day of finding.
Friday-
We had a good lesson with this guy named Bill. He is an 80 year old man who is kinda a loner. So we have been teaching him. He has had some concerns come up and we have helped him work through those. We're excited to begin teaching him more. He is our number 1 prospect for baptism.
Saturday-
We got spiritually sucker punched. Like hard too! Our person we put on date told us that she didn't want to be baptized anymore. She didn't feel like it was the right time for her and she doesn't want to meet with us again. Then we found out from her grandma that it was just a negative influence from her family. We are still going to try to get in there. Because, she was ready... she came to us and asked if she could be baptized. She will come around.
Sunday-
We had a good Ward conference Sunday. It was a good meeting. Little weird but I can't expect anything different then that here.

Season 5 episode 4, February 15, 2016
Happy Valentine's Day folks!! ❤
We had a great week. We had some pretty dang cool times. We did a lot of less active work for the week. It was awesome. We are trying to get some of the people to come back to church. What we are doing is going around with a pull up on our iPads, it’s a map. It shows people scattered everywhere. We are trying to make sure these people still live here and if our records are correct. It usually consumes most of our time.
Monday-
We taught the Ragonese for the first time since the baptism. They are doing well. We are just going over the lessons with them for a while. Keep them in and close. It was a pretty cool lesson. They have had some serious problems to deal with... it is a lot to deal with for anyone.
Tuesday-
We had some pretty cool lessons. We taught this less active guy who looks like one of the men from Duck Dynasty. There was a dog barking. Somebody near by was playing trashing the camp in the kitchen with pots and pans. Some hard core rock music was playing too. It was not an ideal setting for a lesson. We asked if we could share a video. He, at the start, was distracted. Then after a while it was almost like a spiritual bubble covered us. The video was powerful and the spirit was really strong. We couldn't even hear the dog or the music or anything. It was crazy.
Wednesday-
We had a pretty cool zone meeting and right after we helped out at the bishops store house. Then we got hit by traffic and we were late for our next lesson. She is a unbaptized child of record. So we should baptize her pretty soon.
Thursday-
It was a long day of finding. It was fun. We were on exchanges. We worked hard and talked to a bunch of people.
Friday-
We taught this guy named Bill. He is an awesome guy. We helped him clean up. He was a bit of a hoarder. After our cleaning, his place is a totally new place.
Saturday-
We had a pretty cool day. We taught a recent convert who is solid. We don't have to worry about her. Then we had a pretty good rest of the day. A bunch of try by's. We have been focusing on some part member families. They are sweet.
Sunday-
We had stake conference. It was a broadcast. It was a very good meeting. Talked about doing some of the things like reading, praying, and going to church. Great meeting. Then we went to this less actives house and then there was another guy there so we taught him and invited him to be baptized he said he would.
Question do we have ancestors from Wyoming? (No “Love Alex” this week, just a question about ancestry, which is kinda funny...both Dave and I have ancestors from Wyoming. Maybe next week we will know why he asked...)

Season 5, Episode 3, February 8, 2016
Dear family and friends,
Our week was stellar. We worked so hard. There were definitely some really cool blessings.
Monday-
We had a lesson with Michael. We had his baptism interview. He passed so he is able to get baptized on Saturday.
Tuesday-
We went on exchanges. I was with an Elder that was struggling. We had a really good day. The experience helped him gain that missionary work fire. It was a good time for me too. We had fun and we had a really full day. We taught a lot of people. It was nice, definitely a miracle.
Wednesday-
We have been trying to teach a lady for a few months. She called us back and we were able to have a lesson with her. That was awesome. We have been just working like crazy and seeing the fruits.
Thursday-
We just had a normal day. Talked to a bunch of people, and taught some people on the street. Nothing too special. It is becoming so much fun being out here and preaching the gospel. We have a grand old time.
Friday-
We got a call to give a blessing. We have a few hospitals in the area. They call us whenever somebody requests a blessing. This time it was a call from the chaplain. And, usually the call is to give a blessing to people who are very less active. So it is missionary work in progress. We also planned for the week. I hate planning! It is the worst. But, we have made a new system for
planning and it works so well. So I don't hate it as much.
Saturday-
Michael got baptized. We had a crazy cool experience then. To see him progress this far and to finally make it. We have been meeting with him three times a week. We have reset the date twice. We have born our testimonies countless times, but he had to do it himself. He did. We were so excited to have the baptism on Saturday. I got to meet our new President (he has an interim Mission President since President Taylor is recovering from heart surgery). It was a really solid day. Michael had the desire and the drive to get baptized. So sweet.
Sunday we had his confirmation. He has had a problem being on time since we meet him. They will come 2 hours late to church. He was only 30 minutes late for his baptism. And he was only 20 late for Sacrament. We have some really awesome prospects for baptism now. There is a child of record that we will put on date this week. It was a solid week and we had it capped with a baptism.
Love,

Season 5 ,Episode 2, February 1, 2016
Dear family and friends,
Mom, I got the package. Peanut m&ms...nice touch. They are great! Love the
ties. That is awesome for Kelsey to be driving now, I’m glad I am in the northwest. Except, they drive like chimpanzees here. Bad. Wow! Region as a Sophomore, Kelsey! More protein should get those times down even more. Good job! Kylee, next time in a game, shoulder check some body. You have five
Fouls, use them. Sounds like everyone had a crazy week. Yay for Carlie! (Alex’s cousin Carlie went to the MTC last week.)
Anyway this was another great week. In answer to your question, we do some fun stuff on P-day. Last week we went to the Adidas factory. That was sweet. We just recently have been getting some serious games of basketball going. I never pass up a good game. We have a bunch of players in the zone now so it is good times.
Tuesday-
We had a really good day. We are doing a bunch of less active try by's. It is some rough stuff sometimes. But, we just recently have been finding some who are actually willing to listen to us and those are the ones we are going to try to teach. We found one Tuesday. He said we could "practice" teaching him. That is code for we are trying to teach them. Then we had the privilege to give a blessing to a girl in the hospital. We got a call from a lady from another Ward and she said her granddaughter was in need of a blessing. And the family she was from is a less active family. So we said we would give the blessing and heading over there. They were so grateful for it.
Wednesday-
We were on exchanges. I got to stay. Elder Johansen doesn't know the area well enough so I got to stay. We had a crazy day. We taught a bunch of people on the street. We just talk to everyone meet. It was a rougher day for a while but we just kept going. Then we saw the miracles. We got mooned by a dude. So another time for that story. Haha you just have to laugh at these things. If you don't I, feel bad. It truly was funny. We were talking to these guys outside a drug house
and then a guy felt inspired to show us the crack. (Mom can’t stop laughing here.....) Then we taught a less active man who has hit the bottom and is working to come back. We showed him a video and he felt the spirit. Just another testimony of the powers of the Holy Ghost. We had a good lesson with the R’s. He is supposed to be baptized on this Saturday. We are pumped.
Thursday-
We meet some cool people on the street. But hopefully they call us.
Friday-
We met this guy on the street. And then on Sunday he shows up at church with this lady. It was a cool miracle. Just what happens when you ask for them. We will be teaching him as soon as we can. We have found a bunch of miracles.
Saturday-
We helped move a recent convert. The only thing is that every time we move, people don't have their stuff packed. So it is a lot of standing around. I wish they would just pack it and send it out. People also have lot and lots of garbage that we move. That was a project. Later we taught a less active lady and we're trying to get her to bring a friend. So we did that but it was a good day as well.
Sunday-
We had a good day a church. We had some gators there. Then we helped finish their move. Over all it was a great week.
