July 28 letter

Hi family and friends!

So on The first day they was the drop off. We were taken through a bunch of different rooms to get the things wee needed for the week like the room key our key card to get into all of the buildings. Then we were taken back to the dorm room which is where we met up with my companion Elder Creer. We have six Elders in the same room. They took us right to our class after that. That's where we meet Brother Scherck. He is a fantastic teacher and a good guy. Then we had a big devotional it was kinda a get to know the MTC presidency kinda thing. After that we were taken right to dinner. the food here is pretty good. I found out why the chocolate milk is so good and rich. It is part of the welfare program at BYU so they will send it to places that the people don't get the proper nutrition, and it can last for like three days. After dinner we met our zone they are so cool great missionaries. They know how to have a good time.

The second day started awfully early. We heard from everyone in our zone that the second day was the longest day you will have in the MTC. They were right. We had things on the schedule starting at 7:00 am. After like an hour or so of class we had breakfast. After breakfast we were supposed to take an online course. The movie that was the course never worked so we didn't take it. Class was good we learned about how to teach. After the long day of classes. Then we met or were supposed to meet the branch presidency. But none of them were there so we met some random guy from another branch presidency. There they assigned the zone leaders and stuff like that. Once that was over we went home and retired for the night. After one of the longest days in the world.

On Friday things got a lot better.  We were still spending a lot of time in the class room. We were teaching our progressive investigator which is our teacher pretending to be someone else. That was a great experience and it will be good practice for the mission field. We are so close with the district so it makes everything easier. One of the best parts about Friday is we had our first gym time. That was a much needed break from sitting in the class room. It was such a blessing. We all decided to go a play some basketball. Then things just went down hill. We went out to go a meeting and one of the elders in our room forgot to close the door. Even in the MTC you're not safe from a prank. We still don't know who did this but it was bad. Somebody released the most rank, stanky stink bomb ever. It was bad. I had to open the door and I could smell it from outside the room. It smelled like something died and was rotting up the room. It was not pleasant. The janitor had to come and spray something to take away the stench.

On Saturday not much happened.  We started with a service project. We stocked the paper towels and paper in the bathrooms. Just had kind of a normal day. We have some of the best people in the world in the district. We all bond well and get along.

Sunday was great. It is a great relaxing day. We had a very good devotional given by Elder Steve Allen he is an area seventy I think. He was really entertaining and engaging. After we went and watched a video about a talk Elder Bednar gave on Christmas a few years ago. It was called the Character of Christ. It was very very cool.

Love you All!   Please send mail and write!
